多出来的椅子

Before the rooftop committee meeting, an extra chair suddenly appears by the table.

The red one belongs to Mrs. Chen, the wooden one to the manager, but nobody recognizes the new one.

Someone guesses it is for a new neighbor; someone says it is for the air-conditioner repairer.

After the meeting begins, that one remains empty.

As everyone talks, they keep looking toward the stairwell.

Finally, Xiao Xu from the fifth floor appears with a camera.

He always takes the group photo, so he is never in it.

Mrs. Chen points to the new one and says, “Today this one is yours.”

They place the camera on a flowerpot and use the timer for their first complete group photo.

In the photo there is no empty chair and nobody is missing.
