Miaozi is built for learners. We collect the minimum data needed to run the service, improve the product, keep your account in sync across devices, and support free public learning pages.

To provide the service: We use your data to power core features such as syncing your searches, lists, and flashcards across devices.

To improve Miaozi: Aggregated and anonymized usage data helps us understand which features are working and where to improve.

Data storage and retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service. You can ask us to delete your account data at any time.

We use modern infrastructure and practices to protect your data, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Third-party services

Hosting and storage: We use Supabase to store account data and learning data such as saved words, lists, and contact messages.

Analytics: We may use privacy-conscious analytics tools to understand feature usage in aggregate. We do not sell your personal data.

Advertising and Google AdSense

Miaozi may show Google AdSense ads on some free public learning pages. When ads are enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, device identifiers, and browser information to serve ads, limit ad repetition, measure ad performance, and help keep ads safe.
