The Passenger Who Looks Like Me
Grammar in this story
Sister Lin finds a photograph on Train 17.
The person in the photo looks exactly like the passenger Lao Gao.
But Lao Gao says the coat in the photo is not like his.
Everyone looks again; even the glasses and smile are the same as Lao Gao’s.
The next day, a person who looks just like Lao Gao enters the carriage.
Both Lao Gaos say at the same time, “That is my photo.”
It turns out they are twins; one rides the east line every day and the other rides the west line.
After the train route changes, they meet on Train 17 for the first time.
Sister Lin gives them the photo and adds a new lost-and-found rule: first ask whether there is a twin.
