This Alley, That Alley
Grammar in this story
Two guides need to design a new alley route, but their opinions are completely opposite.
A Bo says, “This alley I know well; that one I don't.”
Xiao Yun takes out a map covered with sticky notes in different colors.
She says, “The breakfast shop I recommend; the souvenir shop I don't.”
They compare more and more seriously, even discussing an old chair by the road.
A Bo says, “Photos you can take here; sound is nicer over there.”
Xiao Yun suddenly realizes their disagreements connect perfectly into a route.
“Sweet ones you lead; savory ones I lead; in the middle, let visitors choose.”
The next day, after visitors finish the walk, they say this alley has stories and that one has flavor too.
