只要…就
Pattern
只要 + condition,就 + result
Key words
Core idea
只要…就… means “as long as...” or “provided that...”
The first part gives a sufficient condition. The 就 part gives the result.
Usage boundary
Use this pattern when one condition is enough for the result. It does not list every condition, only the condition the speaker wants to highlight.
