Easy and hard to do with 好 / 难

好 and 难 can come before a verb to mean easy to do or hard to do. The verb names the action being judged.

This is different from using 好 as the ordinary adjective “good.”

What learners often miss

The word order is compact. Mandarin can say that a character is “easy write” or a book is “hard understand,” where English needs “easy to write” or “hard to understand.”
